Roberta Marie Braaten, age 75, of Rochester, passed away November 06, 2019.
“Bobbi” was born Sept. 29, 1944, in West Union, Iowa, to Levi and Alberta (Stockman) Gage. Her family lived in Fayette, Iowa and moved to Rochester in 1963. She was employed at IBM and Mayo Clinic and owned and operated The Bobbi Pin. In her free time, Bobbi enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends as well as quilting, sewing, and baking.
Bobbi is survived by her children, Robin Heim (Robert), Tracey Braaten, Chad Braaten, Adam Braaten (NongYowe), grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law Linda Gage, Bob Gage (Mardene), Mickey Gage (Bonnie), Rachael Gage (Dennis), Joyce Fenske (Stephen), sister-in-law April Gage, John Gage (Marie), Tony Gage (Kathy), Brenda Vukovich (Mark), Lisa Roelofs (Steve), Gilbert Gage, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Alberta, and three brothers, Jerome, Jimmie and Irvin.
The memorial service for Roberta will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Doering officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
