William Harold Geisser, 72, formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice House on Sunday, April 28, 2019 with his family by his side.
Bill was born on February 28, 1947 in Reedsburg, WI to Hans and Marjorie (Champlin) Geisser. He graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School. On July 3, 1982, he married Elaine Fehlauer in Rochester. He owned and operated AMG Tax Services in Rochester. In 2005, he sold his tax practice and went to work for Mayo Clinic in the Payroll Department. In 2010, he and Elaine retired to North Fort Myers. He is a former member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Rochester serving as Treasurer and Pioneer Leader. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of North Fort Myers also serving as Treasurer. Bill was known as a “jokester” who always had a funny line for every occasion. He and Elaine enjoyed their retirement years returning every summer to Kamp Dels Campground in Waterville, MN.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine of North Fort Myers, FL; his children, Joel (Kelly) Geisser of Sparta, WI, and Anne Snyder (Dan Meyer) of Circle Pines, MN; his grandchildren, Austin Geisser, Logan Geisser, and Ashley Mallder; great-granddaughter, Lucy Mallder; and great-grandson, Charlie Geisser.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerrold and Julius; and great-granddaughter, Lanie Jane Geisser.
The memorial service for Bill will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Ascension Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Kom officiating. Visitation will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the church. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Rock Springs, WI.
Memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church of North Fort Myers, FL.
