Rosemary Wilson, 82, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Shorewood Senior Campus.
Rosemary Dennis was born on October 11, 1936 in Pocatello, ID to John and Mary (Jefferies) Dennis. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1954. On January 21, 1957 she married Dr. David Wilson at St. Joseph Church in Pocatello, ID. The couple made Rochester their home, where David practiced medicine at Mayo Clinic. Together they raised six sons with love and compassion. In the 1970’s, Rosemary attended nursing school and graduated with a Masters in nursing. She enjoyed traveling, camping and especially spending time with her six sons. She was a proud to be a devout Catholic, becoming a Lay Carmelite, and was a longstanding member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester.
She is survived by her sons, Doug (Lynn) of Oak Park, CA, John (Jean) of Middleton, WI, Steve (Mary) of Duluth, MN, Jim (Tracy) of Stewartville, MN, Peter (Jodie) of Roseville, MN, Paul (Silvana) of Chatfield, MN; brothers Mike Dennis of Oklahoma City, OK; Fr. Patrick Dennis of Boise, ID, her sister, Kathe (Mick) McCurry of Meridian, ID; twenty grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David (2003); her parents; and a great-granddaughter, Maisie.
The Funeral Mass for Rosemary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Rochester.
Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
