Kimberly Anne Crain, 59, of Rochester, died at her home on Sunday, July 31st. She was born in Rochester on November 21, 1956. She resided in Rochester her entire life. She attended Rochester Technical College and worked at Mayo Clinic for many years as a nursing assistant and as a health unit coordinator. She later worked for Olmsted County as a detention deputy.
Kim was a fitness buff and an avid gardener. She loved dogs, especially her poodle, Katrina. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, eternal optimism, wacky sense of humor, boisterous laugh and unique sense of style.
She is survived by her father, Paul Crain of Rochester; sisters Mary Juliano of Cleveland, OH and Therese Shumaker (Bill) of Rochester; niece Tricia Semling (Matt) of Houston, MN; nieces Hollie and Leah Shumaker, both of Rochester; nephew Mike Juliano of Cleveland, OH; great-nephew, Archer Semling; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwen, and her brothers, Rick and Craig.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 4th, at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws and Claws or to another charity.
