Charles “Chuck” O’Connell, 77, of Boulder City, Nevada (formerly of Rochester) died Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home in Nevada of natural causes.
Charlie was born February 5, 1941 in Rochester to Francis and Phoebe (McConnell) O’Connell.
He attended Lourdes High School and went on to become an Elevator Engineer. He retired after over 40 years in the trades.
Survivors include two sisters, Theresa Helgerson of Rochester, and Phoebe Whistler of Mesa, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Bischoff, Sister Conal O’Connell, Elaine Stokes, Catherine Fitzgerald, Rosella Jech, Alice Fuhrmeister.and Marlene Towey; brothers, Walter, John, Nickolas, Clarence, Richard, and Edward O’Connell.
Chuck was a devout Catholic and loved nothing more than to spend time with family and friends. He was generous to a fault and never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. He enjoyed collecting antique tools, old cars, his dog Pepper, and going out to eat with friends and family.
Chuck’s Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12th at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Wilmot officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Wednesday.
