Lori Lewis passed away on February 9 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus after a lengthy illness.
Lori was born on February 5, 1960 to Donald and Ione Jacobs in Plainview, Minnesota.
She attended Plainview High School and graduated in 1978. She also attended Votech in Rochester for secretarial work.
Lori marred Paul Lewis on September 8, 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, MN. The couple made their home in Plainview until moving to Rochester in 1985. Lori worked at Marquette and Associated Banks for over 25 years. She then worked for Olmsted National Bank for about 5 years until her retirement due to health reasons
Lori enjoyed traveling, crafts and playing cards and games. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also very active in church activities at Redeemer Lutheran.
Lori is survived by her husband, Paul of 38 years. Paul and Lori did not have any children of their own, but they have numerous children from the youth group at Redeemer Lutheran Church which they shared their lives with. She is also survived by one sister, Donette Adler of Mazeppa, MN; two brothers, Dennis (Barb) Jacobs of West Concord, MN and Bruce Jacobs of Mazeppa, MN; five nieces; four nephews; seven great nieces and nephews; and her dog, Buffy. She is also survived by one sister-in-law Gail (Donald) Andring of St. Charles, MN; and two brother-in-laws, Mark (Judy) Lewis of Lewiston, MN and Jim (Theresa) Lewis of Plainview, MN.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy and Sharon; one brother in-law Verl; and her parents.
The Memorial Service for Lori will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview, MN.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
