William J. Knadel Jr., 90 of Rochester, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2024.
Bill was born on April 24, 1934 in Springfield, MN to William and Inez (Welch) Knadel. He graduated from Springfield High School. On December 25, 1953 he married Donna Stern in Springfield, MN. The couple moved to Rochester in 1959 where Bill began working for the Rochester Police Department. Along with law enforcement, he started Dee’s Drapery Installation, which he operated in the Rochester and surrounding areas. Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife Donna of Rochester; his children Patti (Myron) Petersen of Stewartville, Kim (Henrietta) Knadel of Sherman, TX; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
A Memorial Luncheon (including a time of remembrance) will be served starting at 11:30AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in the River Park Reception Hall at Macken Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Landing MN and Season’s Hospice.
