Richard “Rich” Allen Page, aged 75, passed away on March 17, 2024 at The Mayo Clinic, Methodist Campus.

Rich was born October 24, 1948 in Winona, MN to Harry and Helen (Teachout) Page. Rich’s journey began at St. Charles High School, where he graduated in 1967. Continuing his education, he pursued studies at Winona Vo Tech. In 1969, Rich enlisted in the Army, joining the esteemed 82nd Airborne and Medical Corps. It was on October 24, 1969, that he made his first parachute jump, a moment surely etched in his memory forever. After his honorable discharge, Rich continued his service to the nation by joining the National Guard. Professionally, Rich dedicated many years to the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. His commitment and diligence were evident throughout his career.

In matters of the heart, Rich was married twice. His first marriage was to Debra Stark, with whom he had a daughter named Shannon. After the divorce to Debra, Rich would later meet and be united in marriage to Deborah Fuchs in November of 2003. Their union brought joy and companionship to both of their lives.

Rich had a wide range of interests. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing softball, only retiring from the latter at the age of 69. Bowling was another passion, marked by his achievement of a perfect 300 game. Traveling in their RV was a beloved pastime for Rich and Deborah, with many memorable fishing trips to Canada. Sports held a special place in Rich’s heart, particularly his allegiance to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He was an avid baseball fan and took great pleasure in following the fortunes of his favorite teams. Rich’s love for nature was evident in his hobbies of gardening, and agate hunting. He found joy in the outdoors, often accompanied by his beloved dogs, whom he cherished dearly. A friendly and outgoing individual, Rich had a remarkable ability to make connections wherever he went.

Rich is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughter, Shannon (Scott) Fohrman; three grandsons, Austin (Hope) Fohrman, Nathan (Summer Smith) Fohrman, Zachary Fohrman and great-grandchildren, Chandler, Anastasia, Bennett and Joey Fohrman. Rich is also survived by his siblings, Carolyn Rodorigo, Barry “Butch” Page, Bob (Anne) Page, Barb (Mark) Schneider, Bill (Peggy) Page and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Helen; granddaughter, Taylor Ann Fohrman; brother, Darrel Page, and sister-in-law, Char Page.

Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024  at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.
