Raymond A Kosis, 70, of Rochester, MN passed away Monday, December 14, at his home.
Ray was born on November 15, 1950 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to Edward and Margaret (Gresock) Kosis. Ray received an associate’s degree from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, PA, and was also in the Air Force Reserves, being honorably discharged as a Sargant. He worked for Fairway Outdoor Advertising as a General Manager and Sales Manager, retiring in 2015.
Ray enjoyed spending time traveling and hiking with his family. He volunteered for Rochester Youth Baseball and Hockey and was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He loved his children more than life, and was so proud of them.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Kosis; daughter, Madeline (Zach) Kosis of Moorhead, MN; son, Taylor of Rochester; brother, Edward (Mary Lou) Kosis of Sewickley, PA; brother, Don (Patricia) Kosis of Tempe, AZ; and sister, Patricia (Gary) Whitehill of Half Moon Bay, CA.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Connolly, of Pittsburgh, PA.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 18, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rochester, with Rev. James Berning officiating. A visitation will be held in the church gathering space one hour prior to the mass. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/stfrancisrochmn.
Memorials are suggested to Camp Companion Animal Rescue in Rochester, MN or Mayo Clinic Pancreatic Cancer Research.
